Petty Title
In Bereny it is possible to purchase a ‘petty title’ from the crown which allows you to use the honorific ‘Lord’ or ‘Lady’ before your name. Petty titles can only be bought on your first turn or when signing up a new character. If you try to buy one later some official will still pocket your money, but you won’t get the title! Petty Titles are for role-playing only. Real nobles regard petty nobles with tolerant disdain, but commoners are impressed! Upon creating a new character the order ‘B 1005’ can be entered as part of the character’s first set of orders to gain a petty title. This costs 15gp.
I paid a paltry 15gp and purchased a petty title. I can now be officially known with the title ‘Lord’ or ‘Lady’ before my name.
By issuing the order ‘B 1636’, while at a trader, a blacksmith will repair degraded horseshoes. This costs 30gp.
By issuing the order ‘B 500’, while in a courtyard or on a magical trader, the character will have a blunt weapon sharpened. This costs 3gp.
