Mind
& Body
Mind & Body is a new category off effects first introduced to characters in the Land of the Dead. It has recently been observed in characters in other modules on a temporary basis when various effects occur to a character. Only such affects are cataloged here. There sources are various. Drinking elixirs, using ungents, or eating other strange things.
Player’s Note: It has no description, but also adds the following description when the character is viewed, “This person is covered in excessive hair from head to foot. It looks rather amusing.” This appears to grant no statistical change. So far, this effect comes from drinking a Grey Elixir. This condition can last for several turns, but appeared to eventually go away.
Player’s Note: Temporary Intelligence comes with no condition description, but appears to grant +2 to Intelligence. So far, this effect comes from eating magical bookworms. Normally, it last only to the end of the turn, but it has finally lasted longer than the end on one occasion.
Player’s Note: Temporary Lethargy comes with no condition description, but grant –3 to Movement, -10 to attack, and –10 to all defenses. So far, this effect comes from applying a Slimy Ungent, which stated in its description that is causes the above effects. This condition can last for several turns, but appears to eventually go away.
Player’s Note: Temporary Loss of Str comes with no condition description, but appears to grant -2 to strength. So far, this effect comes from applying a Burning Ungent, which stated in its description that is causes –2 to strength and –10 to health. At least in the case of the Burning Ungent, it is actually 10 points of damage rather than a reduction of max health by –10. This condition can last for several turns, but appeared to eventually go away.
Player’s Note: Temporary Strength comes with no condition description, but appears to grant +2 to strength. So far, this effect comes from eating the stew in the Snow Witch Kitchen in the Snow Witch Catacombs. This is a dungeon in the Southern Glaciers. This condition can last for several turns, but appeared to eventually go away.
Player’s Note: Temporary Tan comes with no condition description. Suspected to cause +2 to appearance, but its source, application of a Glistening Ungent says is grants +2 beauty.
