EQUIPPABLE TO BODY

Banded Mail (?)

I took a look at the Banded Mail suit. It consists of long, thick strips of metal rivetted to a leather suit. The metal is layered so as to provide protection and flexibility. Most of the protection is on the body with the arms and legs having smaller plates of metal and studs; otherwise movement would be more severely impaired than it is. Player’s Note: Defensive bonuses reported by the investigation are confirmed by a character equipping the armor.

Black Bronze Mail (?)

I examined the Black Bronze Chain Mail. Ancient bronze weapons and armor were mostly used back in pre history by the ancient tribes. That having been said, any bronze equipment that old to have lasted to the present day would have to be enchanted in some way and so this equipment is often well worth using. This bronze armor has a strange black shimmer around it which seems to eminate from a single gem in the hilt. The bronze chain equips to the body and lowers movement by one. Only one may be stored in each backpack slot and it requires at least 16 strength to wear.

Once commonplace in Myriad, Crystal armor has become extremely rare as the art of making it has been lost or forgotten. Although the armor itself is not magical, the manner in which it is created is. Brave knights were known to wear it when facing demons and other creatures of darkness, for the armor's nature gives it great protection from magical attacks. I took a good look at the breastplate. It is part of a larger suit of armor but at some point in its, no doubt, bloody past has become separated. It will protect the torso well, but leaves other parts of the body open to attack. It is particularly vulnerable to attacks from the rear, but hey, who is going to get behind me? What is most amazing about this armor is that the breastplate is made of glass. I dare say that it was thought of as a good idea, but I wonder if it is easy to break? Player’s Note: This armor hasn’t been tried on yet so it is unknown if the reported values are the real values. Assassins are trained to wear these things, ignoring the feelings of discomfort it engenders. The feelings of hot and cold vary and serve to counter cold and fire attacks.Usually they are recovered from dead Hyusarik, a clan of demon worshipping assassins. Bereny assassins are trained to use the harness, though nobody in Bereny seems to know how to make them. Traders, by Royal decree, will not deal in these items.

It is best suited for powerful fighters with big heavy weapons in large areas. Sneaking around is virtually impossible in Full Plate Mail because every move and step is loud and obvious. Full Plate differs from other plate armor in that it is a 'complete' rig with very heavy steel plates. much longer to put on! Player’s Note: From investigation, it has the same description as Full Plate Mail Armor, but it does report the greater movement rate penalty. Defensive bonuses were not reported and are unknown at this time.

Tarnished Scale (?)

I examined a suit of Scale Mail Armor. Scale Mail is essentially a shirt of close-linked metal made from hundreds of tiny metal scales which acts to stop penetrating weapons and reduce the damage done by bludgeoning weapons by both stopping the edge from reaching the skin and spreading the impact over a wider area of the armor. Scale mail is heavy to wear and noisy too. It restricts movement to a fair degree and is uncomfortable to wear over long periods of time or to sleep. Magical Scale Mail is the same as normal Scale Mail but has been enchanted to give a sorcerous bonus to certain defense types. Player’s Note: Other than the description, it is unkown what is the difference between Tarnished Scale and Tarnished Scale armor is other than its origins. This suit of tarnished scale was found in the sewers of the Centaur City of Lineoth in the enchanted forest. This suit of tarnished scale has been tried on and the values below reflect bonus determined from that equipping.

Tisbehelne's Plate Mail (?)

The Tisbehelne Plate Mail is a varient of ordinary Crusader armour, magically enchanted so that it can never be dropped, transferred or sold. Tisbehelne Scale is nearly always pure white, and worn over a bodice of silks and satins. Scenes of cavorting demons are a familiar scene on the back of the armour and the front is an exquisite anatomically correct breast plate. If the wielder dies the mail is teleported to the nearest Tisbehelne Temple.
