Start of Collective Bargaining
December 20, 2024
Dear Faculty Colleagues,
As part of our commitment to open communication, I am sharing that the collective bargaining process will begin on Friday, Dec. 20 with the first bargaining session with the university and the Service Employees International Union Local 721 (SEIU) NTT unit, which represents certain non-tenure-track (NTT) faculty in the LMU Bellarmine College of Liberal Arts, the LMU College of Communication and Fine Arts, and the LMU School of Film and Television.
We are committed to a respectful and collaborative process, with the understanding that realizing a first tentative agreement requires time and effort to achieve. To keep the community informed, we will post updates following each bargaining session on LMU’s Non-Tenure-Track Faculty Bargaining website, where you will also find information and resources about the university's efforts. We encourage you to check the website with regularity for the latest updates.
Sincerely,
Thomas Poon, Ph.D.
Executive Vice President and Provost
